Lisaks Toomemäe kujunemisloole tutvustab raamat ka hooneid, kus Tartu Ülikooli muuseum paikneb - endist toomkirikut, vana anatoomikumi, tähetorni ja kunstimuuseumit ülikooli peahoones. Sellele lisaks on välja valitud 30 eset muuseumi kogudest, mis annavad pildi ülikooli muuseumi hinnalistest väärtustest.
